We are seeking an experienced IT Service Desk Officer to provide first-line IT support within a global organization. This is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing Service Desk team focused on delivering excellent customer support and achieving a high rate of first-call resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries via the Service Desk
Provide local and remote IT support to end users
Log, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests efficiently
Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and identify trends
Monitor and analyze service desk metrics to improve performance and service quality
Communicate incidents, problems, and outages clearly to users
Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure timely issue resolution
Proactively suggest improvements to enhance system stability and prevent recurring issues
Requirements
Completed vocational (MBO) or bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
Basic understanding of IT processes (e.g., ITIL) and Lean methodologies
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments
Strong customer service orientation with a proactive mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in Dutch and English (mandatory)

Additional Information
Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the work location
Full-time on-site presence is required during the onboarding period
Candidates must be exclusively available for this opportunity (no parallel applications)
