We are seeking an experienced IT Service Desk Officer to provide first-line IT support within a global organization. This is a 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing Service Desk team focused on delivering excellent customer support and achieving a high rate of first-call resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries via the Service Desk

  • Provide local and remote IT support to end users

  • Log, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests efficiently

  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and identify trends

  • Monitor and analyze service desk metrics to improve performance and service quality

  • Communicate incidents, problems, and outages clearly to users

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure timely issue resolution

  • Proactively suggest improvements to enhance system stability and prevent recurring issues

Requirements

  • Completed vocational (MBO) or bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field

  • Basic understanding of IT processes (e.g., ITIL) and Lean methodologies

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments

  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive mindset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (mandatory)

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the work location

  • Full-time on-site presence is required during the onboarding period

  • Candidates must be exclusively available for this opportunity (no parallel applications)
